i-revo sign up guide
for english speakers
By Andrew Neumeier

1.Okay on the very very top of the page, on the far right is the words in Japanese "Login"
It's the top right most link, it's small so watch out for that. (See the image "log-in1")

2.Now you'll be taken to a new page. The format is something like this:

i-revo ID:
Password:

[] click to remember ID

[Yes] [No]
If you forgot pass word click here
New members regsiter here.

You want to click on the lower Hyperlink below the buttons. (See the image "log-in2")

3.Now we’re really getting somewhere. Okay Now this new page is asking you for three things:

First, type in the email address you use in the first space.

Second, type in the numbers in black you see in the next space.

The third thing is actually the terms of service in Japanese.

Let's just skip down to the very bottom of the page and click the right button.

4. Your now taken to the confirmation page.
From here go to your email service inbox and check it.
Open the email from i-revo and click the hyperlink, it's the only one in the page.

5. Now for the REALLY Hard part
you've just been taken to a page with a lot to fill in, let's go through it.

#1 i-revo ID: Type in a login name between 3-32 characters long (English here is ok)

#2 Password: Type in a password between 8-32 chars long (English ok)

#3 Pass again: Type in your password again.

#4 Just says what email you entered earlier

#5 Portable mail adress: If you have an email with your phone or PDA you can type it in, but it's not necessary.

#6 Your name: (Last) (First)

#7 Your name in Hiragana: (Last) (First)

These two are very hard, as I have no clue how to actually type Japanese. But here is
what I did, #7 MUST be in Kana, and not Kanji. I was having a ton of problems with this step until I got a brilliant idea. Look carefully at #7 part of it in black is surrounded in paranthesis. That part is actually in Kana, just right click that and copy it. Now just paste it into all 4 fields of #6&7. Yes, your name is now Kana, Kana It's messy but it works

#8 Gender: () Male () Female

#9 Birth date: [ ] Year [ ] Month [ ] Day

10 Address: Here you will have to lie again, as most people reading this do not live in Japan, so pick anything really.

11 Occupation: You might be able to figure out what the occupations listed are, but I just picked one and didn't really worry about this part.

12 secret question: The top scroll box is several secret questions for i-revo to ask you if you forget your passord. The bottom is your answer. My advice
Just type in something in the lower answer box, and NEVER forget your password. Write it down if you don't trust your head.

13 You want i-revo's email newsletter? : () Yes () No

14 would you like affliate's newsletter? : () Yes ()No

15 It's too hard to explain this question for me as I'm not really sure what it's asking, I clicked () PC.

16-22 It's asking you how often and for what would you like emails from i-revo. As the person reading this shouldn't really know any japanese, I would unselect ALL of them.

23-39 It's asking you to check off your interests

23 PC

24 Business/career

25 College (I think)

26 Interior Design

27 Travel/Leisure

28 Cars & Motorcycles

29 Money

30 Fashion

31 Family

32 Gourmet Cooking

33 I'm not sure, it sayssomething about pregnancy child birth education

34 Romance/dating

35 Entertainment

36 Games (not sure if it means like table top or video game)

37 Sports and fitness

38 Lottery

39 Gambling

40-50 Where have you heard of i-revo from?

If your coming from Kojima productions, clicking #41 is appropiate.

And hit the button on the bottom of the page *phew*

Now you should be mostly set up.

After doing all this you should get another confirmation email,
click on the hyperlink if there is one.
To sign in, you remember thevery first step we did? Where you clicked the very top right link on the i-revo screen? Click it again.
Now enter you login name and password you selected, and hit the larger button on the left.
You are now logged in.

Thank you and good night!

Once you are logged in, you'll be able to leave comments on Ryan's blog as well as on KP Report. For the further "How-To" use the site, I'm planning to post the guide as well.
